For a couple of years now I've been trying to find the time to learn game developement. College, family, and the day job have utterly eaten whatever time I had to play with Unity or Adobe anything.
Now I've dropped college because I couldn't handle the needs of my family properly and pass my classes while working, and now the babies are a bit older. I find I have some time to focus on this, so here I am.
The game development thing started out as a joke, sort of. I was stoked to find out that Unity is completely free, and I came up with this idea for a game that was purposefully ridiculous. A dungeon brawler with the most ridiculous stereotyped party characters I could muster.
I came up with the game as an idea for a website for a college final project, and now... I'm building it and a few other games.
The concept has gone through several revisions, but the core is the same: basic mechanics and stupid amounts of loot. It's my first game so I know better than to get stupid with the complicated mechanics.
I currently have three games on my list to piece together. Two are relatively simple and the third is the dungeon game. Two are fantasy based and one is a sci fi game.
I'll be posting the art for each as I create it. I'm developing these games from the ground up entirely on my own at this point. Well, it's me and youtube anyway.
Wish me luck.
